Nice informitive receptionist. Nice 2 for 1 cocktails.
Bathroom alittle small
Helpful staff, rich breakfast
it would be nice to have free internet access in the lounge
it is good site for traffic communication and too many Chinese rest, around there. room is small, while u could not ask for more since it was in London.however. it is good for me.
location, staff were helpful
Rooms were very small, bathroom tiny, not very clean, carpets old and stained, smell of damp in the hotel, only one lift which was always full and the stairs were so narrow, good luck carrying a bag up them. We were moved to what the receptionist called an executive room, wasn't much bigger, financially had no choice but to stay it was preauthorised on my credit card.
it's really near to all London's specific places, you can just walk to the central, and the parks.
Although it was a double superior , room was really smal. There was only a bed and a small tv. All around the bed is the room's thinner than ever walls. the heating was not working. We called a technician, he just gave us a small electric heater.
Beaware the london underground metro passes under the rooms of hotel so if u r at ground floor, u cant sleep till 12:30 am, the time of last metro.i have to change my room next day due to this problem.the breakfast is usually charged extra by hotel and was not included in paid price.the rooms are also very very small.
From the hotel were two underground stations just walk distance away, of cource the noice from tube get in, also bus stop were walk distance away.
Our room was pretty small, but the bed was large. The view from the window was to the back alley - not nice, just wall and roof. Our room door lock didn't work for 3 days. We included breakfast in our room booking with Booked.net, there were some assumptions that the breakfast would be "english" but it wasn't. Receptionist said that we can't change the type of breakfast because we booked hotel this way. If we liked to change breakfast type we have to pay the breakfast again.
friendly and helpful
could clean bathroom prpperly?
Location close to the tube and some nice pubs
A total dump. Stayed for two nights before a European tour and then one night after tour and absolutely dreaded having to go back after the tour. No evidence of any money ever being spent on hotel upkeep. Filthy carpet, broken lights, peeling paint, no room to move, etc. It was a really depressing hotel and also expensive. Stayed two nights at the Hilton Paddington (a few weeks earlier) for $20 more per night and this was a 4-5 star hotel compared to Hyde Park Towers which I would call a one star hotel. The only time the receptionist was even lightly friendly was the one time when the manager was standing next to her.
Nothing... oh well the douche is the only positive thing I can think of.
The room was extremely small. same as the bathroom I couldnt even stand in front of the toilet and I'm not fat at all! The sink was just next to the toilet what didnt make it possible to stand normally. It was a mess. I specificaly requested a room with excellent wifi coverage and I couldnt use the wifi at all. After complaining they told me I could change rooms but the rooms I changed to didnt have wifi coverage either.. I told them it's ok and I stayed because I didnt want all the fuzz of changing hotel and everything at that time (23.00).. while I already paid and everything. When I got back home I checked my debit card account and I noticed that they charged me for the first night and they also charged me for the full amount. When I called them they told me it was just a deposit and that it's not the case that it has ben charged. However on my account I could see it was charged twice. So I called them again and they told me well in that case there is nothing we can do you should contact your bank. I have been to several hotels in the world and I have never had such a bad experience with charging the bill. It's not customer service at all.I contacted the bank and they told me they are going to check it and they are going to let me know. I must say the location of the hotel is perfect. It's located in Bayswater just the street behind the main street, but it's not worth staying there for the price they charge you. I didn't feel comfortable in the room either. And I wasn't even in the room for a long time. That explains a lot. The staff was ok they were not very friendly. They greeted whenever they wanted. So if they had a bad day they wouldnt greet you back even if you said Good Morning. London is a great city and Bayswater is a great area.. so I still had a great vacation but for the price of this hotel I expected lottts more of it. A shame Hyde park towers!
Very convenient to the Notting Hill festival and public transportation.
Fast and efficient check in.
The furniture in the room was a bit tired looking. We had to wait a long time for our cooked breakfast and had to remind the staff of our order. She was apologetic though.
my wife was doing the moonwalko stayed overnight
Room was very tiny not really suitable for 3 people, the bathroom too small as had to pratically sit on sink to get in and shut the door, no toiletries and not very clean.
The bathroom/shower facilities were excellent
The room was facing air conditioning when you opened the window.
The bed was comfortable.
The hotel was just way too old and needs renovation. carpet were worned out, furniture where over used... and the worst was that it was really noisy. You can hear everything thing that was going on! People walking, showering, etc....I feel like I was living in a wood cottage. and also having a room in basement was not too great either.
